Support our local bus system: Volunteer Kickoff
Last fall, Rogue Valley Transportation District was forced to reduce service by 40%. Thousands of residents who rely on the bus to get to work, pick up groceries, or go to medical appointments lost rides they counted on.
In May, we have an opportunity to make sure the remaining bus service stays funded, and to help RVTD lay the groundwork for bringing back more evening hours and possibly Saturday service. How? By voting “yes” on local measure 15-240, to renew the existing levy for another five years.
The Rogue Valley Transit Now campaign is helping spread the word and encouraging everyone to vote for the May 19th election.
Join us and help make a real impact for our community! Our Volunteer Kickoff is Saturday, March 21st in Talent. Come get trained on answering questions about the levy, learn canvassing and outreach skills, get creative making signs and buttons, and enjoy snacks and the chance to meet other volunteers.
